PURPOSE:To provide an insecticidal composition capable of extremely effectively controlling especially the larvae of flies by containing 1-(4-phenoxyphenoxy-2-(2- pyridyloxy)propane and 1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidenemalonic acid diester. CONSTITUTION:An insecticidal composition contains 1-(4-phenoxyphenoxy)-2-(2- pyridyloxy)propane and 1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidenemalonic acid diester in a ratio of 1:1-100. Although the respective components of the composition are also singly useful as poisonous insect-controlling agents, the co-use of the components exhibits an excellent synergistic effect and is especially useful as a larvicide. The above-mentioned diester includes lower alkyl esters, lower alkenyl esters, benzyl esters, etc., but diisopropyl ester is preferable. When applied, two kinds of the active ingredients are used simultaneously or separately at an interval. |
