A fish feeding apparatus (1, 21), comprises a container (6, 30) for fish food, valve means (8, 42) to release food from the container (6, 30), and valve actuator means (9, 50) adapted to be operated by a fish to actuate the valve (8, 42) the valve means (8, 42) being biassed into a closed position. The apparatus (1) may include a funnel-shaped container (6) with the valve member (8) arranged to close off an open base (7) of the container (6). In another embodiment the container (30) is secured within an outer container (35) and the valve member (42) is arranged to operate between the two containers (30 and 35) and transfer fish food from the fish food container (30) via the outer container (35) to the surroundings. <IMAGE> |
