<p>A body restraint device (8) which includes a pair of elongated fabric waistband wings (20, 22) joined end-to-end to form a waistband (18) and carrying securement elements (32, 34) at the free end of each of the wings. A trapezoidally-shaped fabric crotch portion (10) is joined to the waistband at its center so that the trapezoidally-shaped crotch portion (10) and the waistband wings collectively form a generally T-shaped fabric restraint panel. At the opposed corners of the trapezoidally-shaped crotch portion adjacent the side (16) of the crotch portion which is spaced from, and extends parallel to, the longitudinal axis of the elongated wing portions, the crotch portion carried a pair of securing elements (38, 40) engagable with complementary elements (36) on the waistband.</p> |
