PURPOSE:To display the height of an echo waveform more accurately by dividing the addresses of waveform memories into address groups, and sequentially sending the data of the maximum values among the data stored in the respective addresses into display memories. CONSTITUTION:This device is composed of the following parts: a transmitting part 3 which outputs specified pulses to an ultrasonic wave probe 2; a receiving part 4, a liquid crystal display part 15; and a display memory 16m. When an echo from a body to be inspected 1 is received, the data are sampled at a specified period and sequentially stored in each address in a waveform memory 6. When the stored data are displayed on the display part 15, the addresses in the memory 6 are sequentially divided by specified number based on the number of the addresses in the display memory 16m and the measuring range of the echo waveforms. Thus the address groups are formed. The data of the maximum values are selected for every address group. The data of the maxi mum values of each address group are sequentially sent into the memory 16m. The display is performed on the display part 15 based on the transferred data. |
