REPAIR OF MEDIAN STRIP AND FENDER BLOCK USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To repair a median strip to give it excellent durability an strength by securing anchor bolts in the road surface from where a ground covering portion is removed so that the anchor bolts project from the road surface and securing a fender block to the anchor bolts. CONSTITUTION:A fender block 10 is constituted with a fender portion 11 constituting the main portion of the block 10 and with a flange portion 12 provided along the longitudinal direction and on both sides of the bottom portion of the fender portion 11. The blocks 10 are disposed in succession on the road covering portion 1 and insertion holes 17 in the block 10 is filled with a filling material 30 such as mortar or concrete and the filling material is solidified to unite the block 10 with the road surface R. The block 10 is then secured to the anchor bolt 20 secured to the road surface R via a pressure support plate 35 and with bolt-nut tightening. Each cut portion 16 provided in the flange portion 12 is filled with the filler material 30.
