<p>PURPOSE:To prevent index information from being erroneously erased and to rapidly and accurately obtain the index information by classifying the index information by address and cassette identification information corresponding to a program searching signal and writing it in a memory. CONSTITUTION:A bar code reader 2 reads the bar code 121 of a tape cassette and the data S1 is outputted to a MCPU 1. The MCPU 1 reads out the index information S2 corresponding to the data S1 from an EA-ROM 7 and gives the information S2 to a CRT control circuit 6. The information is converted into a video signal to be displayed on a monitor 13 through a switch 8 and a video circuit 9. In the case of converting the information, the information S2 is classified by the address information of the program searching signal VASS. At the time of retrieving the video signal corresponding to the information S2, a user specifies the address information of a signal VSS to the MCPU 1 from a key input device 3 so as to control a tape driving circuit 10 to feed a tape. A detection circuit 5 outputs detection data S3 and the MCPU 1 receives it. When the data coincides with the address specified by the user, a VPR is set in a reproducing mode.</p> |
