PURPOSE:To measure correctly a leaking position by moving two pieces of water leaking sound sensors in the fluid water of a water pipe keeping the prescribed intervals, by receiving simultaneously the leaking sound generated from the leaking part and by finding the difference in detecting times of each sensor. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and the 2nd leaking sound sensors 50, 60 are moved with arranging in a straight line in the fluid water 2 of a water pipe 1 by a signal cable feeding device 20 through a guide pipe 30. The leaking sound which is from the leaking part of the water pipe 1 is detected by the sensors 50, 60 and the leaking sound is transmitted to the measurer connected to the base end of cords 6a, 6b via the 1st and the 2nd cords 6a, 6b of a signal cable 6. Further from the leaking sound detected by the sensors 50, 60, the difference in the leaking sound detecting times is calculated and from the differential time thereof, the length between the sensors 50, 60 and the leaking sound propagating speed the leaking place and the length between the leaking part and the 1st sensor 60 are found, and the leaking position is made to enable the measurement. |
