PURPOSE:To obtain the photosensitive material which has ultra-hard contrast and good sharpness, pressure resistance, and fogging property by incorporating two specific compds. into the photosensitive material, incorporating another specific compd. into a hydrophilic colloidal layer and specifying the content of gelatin in the hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:The compd. which has a polyalkylene oxide chain and is expressed by formula I and the compd. expressed by formula II are incorporated into the photosensitive material. And the compd. expressed by formula III is incorporated into the hydrophilic colloidal layer. The content of the gelatin in the hydrophilic colloidal layer is specified to 1.0 to 2.0g/m<2>. In formulas I to III, R1 denotes an alkyl group; R2 denotes an alkylene group; R3 denotes a hydrogen atom, halogen atom or alkyl group which may be substd.; R4 and R5 denote an alkyl group which may be branched; A denotes an arom. group which may be substd.; M denotes Na or K metal group. Unit numbers (k), (l), (m), and (n) denote the average total number of coupling units and are restricted to 50>=k>=30, 5>=l>=1, 20>=m>=2 and 50>=n>=5. The photosensitive material having the high sensitivity, the good hard contrast property and the good pressure resistance is obtd. in this way. |
