<p>PURPOSE:To correct the beam landing drift due to the positional drift of a deflecting electrode by forming the electrode faces of a deflecting electrode group for deflecting an electron beam with resistors and controlling the applied voltage from the outside of a vacuum container via a voltage applying terminal. CONSTITUTION:The emission of thermoelectrons of a linear cathode 2 is controlled by vertical scanning electrodes 1 in sequence from the upper section to the lower section, an electron beam extracted by a grid group 3 is scanned in the horizontal direction by a horizontal deflecting electrode 7, and phosphors of an anode 8 coated with R, G, B in a stripe shape are excited to perform the flat image display. The electrode 7 is divided into multiple electrodes 7a-7c, and at least part of the electrode face is formed with a thin film resistor 9 made of NiCr or TaN. When the required voltage is applied to a resistor 19 by a voltage control circuit 4 outside a vacuum container via terminals 10 on both ends in the vertical direction, the beam landing drift due to the positional drift of the deflecting electrode is corrected, and the reproducibility of the image color is improved.</p> |
