PURPOSE:To reproduce stable images which are unaffected by a change in temp. and humidity by incorporating a compd. generated from a polymer having an acid at the side chain and a polymer having a base at the side chain as a charge control agent into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The compd. generated from the polymer having the acid at the side chain and the polymer having the base at the side chain is incorporated as the charge control agent into the toner. The polymer means an oligomer and polymer and the polymers having any high mol. wt. are usable as far as the polymers are soluble in solvents. The polymer include copolymers with other monomers in addition to the single polymer of the monomer having the acid or base at the side chain. The triboelectrostatic charge quantity is, therefore, larger than the triboelectrostatic charge quantity of toners formed by using a quaternary ammonium salt and the environmental dependency thereof is extremely small. Troubles such as splashing and transfer drop-out at the time of transfer under high humidity and low humidity are eliminated in this way and the fluctuation in image quality by a temp. and humidity change is lessened. |
