PURPOSE:To obtain feathery fiber having improved touch, bulkiness, heat reserving properties, water absorption properties, water retention characteristics and feeling, etc., by making many filmy constructing elements so as to stand close together from base material through air gap layers in a fiber cross section perpendicular to long axis. CONSTITUTION:In a fiber cross section perpendicular to long axis, flights 1 as many filmy construction elements like as feathery shape are made to stand close together through narrow air gap layers from base material 2 to afford the aimed fiber having improved recovery characteristics against compression. Besides, said filmy constructing elements are preferably crimped. |
