PURPOSE:To improve the picture preservation of a yellow dye picture and the rapid processing of the subject material by incorporating a specified yellow coupler in at least one layer of silver halide photographic emulsion layers, and a silver halide particle contg. >=90mol% of silver chloride content in a photographic emulsion layer, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The yellow coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in at least one layer of the silver halide photographic emulsion layers, and the silver halide particle contg. >=90mol% of the silver chloride content is incorporated in at least one layer of the photographic emulsion layers. In formula I, R1 is alkyl or aryl group, R2 is halogen atom or alkoxy group, R3 is a group capable of being substd. to a benzene ring, (m) is an integer of 0-3, L1 and L2 are each a divalent linking group, R4 and R5 are each alkyl or alkenyl group, etc., n1 and n2 are each an integer of 0-4, X is a group capable of being released by coupling with the oxidant of a color developing main agent. Thus, the image preservation of the yellow dye picture is sufficient, and the rapid processing aptitude of the material, without deteriorating another photographic performances, is maintained. |
