PURPOSE:To obtain a strain-free flexible disk efficiently by forming thin magnetic films on both surfaces of a flexible metallic sheet, providing photosensitive resin films over them, and patterning them in a disk shape by photoetching and then forming a disk. CONSTITUTION:On both surfaces of a nonmagnetic metallic base 2 having flexibility, magnetic thin films 3 for magnetic recording are vapor-deposited to obtain a magnetic recording medium sheet 7, which is coated with photosensitive resin 8. Then, the sheet is patterned in a prescribed disk shape by photoetching and a part 9 for connecting disks is cut; and both surfaces are coated with lubricant layers 4, and then a drive spindle hole 5 is formed. The disk in the prescribed shape whichh as neither strain nor a burr is set in a jacket 6 to obtain flexible disks successively and efficiently. |
