PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting photoconductive material having both superconductivity and photoconductive at <= critical temp. where the supercon ductivity is exhibited, by using an oxide having a specified compsn. contg. Ca, Sr, Bi, and Cu. CONSTITUTION:The title superconducting photoconductive material is expressed by the general formula: Cap-x-Srx-Biq-y-Cuy-Oz (wherein p=2-3; 0<=x<1; q=3-4; 0<y<=2; z=4-9) having superconductivity at least potentially at 105 deg.K-<=115 deg.K and at 65 deg.K-<=85 deg.K, having also photoconductivity in a region of 500nm-740nm of light wavelength at 105-<=115 deg.K and 65 deg.K-<=85 deg.K. The material is prepd. by sintering primarily starting materials having a compsn. expressed by the general formula at 700-850 deg.C where a solid phase reaction is caused for 2-10hr, cooling slowly the sintered product, molding the cooled product under pressure, then sintering secondarily at 750-880 deg.C for 2-10hr, cooling slowly again, then holding for 2-3hr at 500-600 deg.C, then cooling extremely slowly at 1500-900 deg.C/sec cooling rate or cooling at 150-200 deg.C/hr cooling rate. |
