PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a fog, and to make it possible to obtain the sufficient coloring density of the subject material by incorporating at least one kind of pyrazolone type magenta couplers having a specified coupling releasable group and a specified another compd. in the emulsion layer contd. in the subject material, and by developing the material with a color developer having a prescribed condition. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the pyrazolone type magenta couplers shown by formula I and at least one kind of the compds. shown by formulas II and III are incorporated in the emulsion layer contd. in the photosensitive material, and the material is developed with the color developer which has a temp. of the developer of 36-50 deg.C and pH 10.3-12.0. In formula I, L1 and L2 are each an ethylene group, etc., (l) and (m) are each 0 or 1, R1 is alkyl group, etc., R2 is carbon atom, etc., A is sulfur atom, (n) is 1 or 2, B is nitrogen atom, etc., X is an atomic group necessary for forming a ring. In formulas II and III, X is alkoxyl group, etc., R<3> and R<4> are each a group having the same meaning to those of the group X or hydrogen atom, etc., Y is hydroxyl group, etc., R<11> is an aliphatic group, etc., Z2 is a nucleophilic group, etc. Thus, the generation of the fog is suppressed, and the sufficient coloring density of the photosensitive material is obtd. |
