PURPOSE:To obtain a water-proofing laminated cloth sewable by a welder by coating a synthetic fiber cloth with a mixture of a water-repellent and an antistatic composition containing a copolymer of a specific monomer and forming a water-proofing layer of a thermoplastic resin on a surface of the cloth. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic synthetic fiber cloth 2 such as polyamide or polyester is impregnated (or coated) with a mixture of (A) an antistatic composition containing a copolymer produced by the copolymerization of a monomer of formula (R is H or methyl; R' is methyl, etc.; X is R'SO4 or Cl; n is 2-6) (e.g., methacrylic acid trialkylammonoalkyl ester chloride) and an alkyl methacrylate and (B) a water-repellent. A surface of the cloth is laminated with a water-proofing layer composed of a thermoplastic resin film (e.g., vinyl chloride resin film 3) interposing e.g., an adhesive layer 5 and the layers are integrated with each other to obtain the objective water-proofing laminated cloth 1. The cloth can be sewn by welding with a welder and has high peeling strength and light weight. |
