<p>PURPOSE:To access a memory without the control of a ready signal from the external by providing an address decoder, which detects the access to the memory arranged in a specific address area, and a frequency divider which reduces the operating clock frequency. CONSTITUTION:When a microcomputer 1 will access a low speed memory 6, the address where the low speed memory 6 exists is generated in the microcomputer 1. An address decoder 4 decodes this address to detect the access to the low speed memory 6 and sends a control signal to reduce the clock frequency to a frequency divider 3. The operating clock frequency of the microcomputer 1 is reduced to extend the output time of the memory control signal outputted from the microcomputer.</p> |
