PURPOSE: To clarify a contour pattern of contrasting-colored zones by uniformly dispersing a rubber contrasting-colored zone in a rubber matrix, and disposing the rubber contrasting-colored zones at least in an advanced state of vulcanization of a mixture. CONSTITUTION: Hundred pts.wt. of a master batch having a color arrangement 1 is mixed with 10 pts.wt. of vulcanized rubber powder particles of a disposition 2 having a particle size of 6 to 8 mm and 10 pts.wt. of vulcanized pulverized material of a color arrangement 3 having a particle size of 10 to 14 mm in a sealed rubber mixer. A preform having a thickness of 12 mm is extrusion molded from the mixture by a roll mill, and the preform is overheat vulcanized by a press having two smooth molding surfaces. Then, the vulcanized rubber pulverized material mixed with the batch are substantially completely embedded. An obtained vulcanized plate having a total thickness of 12 mm is sliced into two or more plates by a slicer. In the obtained floor covering, visible parts of two types of pulverized material mixed with color arrangements 2, 3 are uniformly distributed with the color arrangement 1 of the batch, thereby forming a three-color structure. |
