PURPOSE:To stabilize hard-contrast images and to prevent the generation of fogs including pepper fogs by incorporating a hydrazine deriv. into a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and incorporating specific compds. into the emulsion layer and/or hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:The hydrazine deriv. is incorporated into the emulsion layer and at least one kind of the compds. selected from the compds. expressed by the formulas I, II, etc., are incorporated into the emulsion layer and/or the hydrophilic layer. In the formulas I, II, Y1, Y2 denote a -OH group or -CH2OH group; R denotes 1-3C alkyl group; R1-R4 respectively denote a hydrogen atom or lower alkyl group; Z denotes -(CH2)-n (n is 0 or 1-5 integer), -CH2-O-CH2-, -CH=CH-, etc. The generation of the pepper fogs is prevented in this way without impairing the formation of the higher contrast. |
