The operating data recording system uses individually carried portable input terminals (1) which are used to record the operating data at respective points via a manual input keyboard (5) coupled to a temporary memory. The user is identified by a code. Each of the portable input terminals can be deposited in at least one stationary evaluation device at which the stored data are read out, with the times at which the data are entered and read out being determined. Pref. each portable input terminal is operated from an incorporated rechargeable battery, which is recharged when the input terminal is deposited in the evaluation device.
