The dentist's tool for the finish grinding and polishing of a tooth filling or crown, has a stem (3) with an integrally formed head (1). The latter has a flat end face and concave sides. The stem is designed to fit in a chuck of a standard dental drill. The tool is made either from hardened steel, or is coated with diamond dust. The concave sides (2) enable an anatomically correct surface to be achieved on the dental filling or crown.
