PURPOSE:To form hair root parts which have extremely high bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects and are harmless to the human body by sticking amorphous silver like spots to the surface of a single fiber made of a synthetic resin as the artificial hair for planting. CONSTITUTION:The silver is stuck by vacuum vapor deposition under 10<-3>-10<-6>Torr, more preferably 10<-4>-10<-5>Torr vacuum degree and at <=36 deg.C substrate temp., more preferably at ordinary temp. (about 20 deg.C) to the surface of the artificial hair consisting of the single fiber made of the synthetic resin such as polyamide, polyethylene or polyester, by which the amorphous silver is stuck like spots to the surface. The degree at which the amorphous silver sticks like spots to the surface, i.e., the ratio of the sticking area to the surface area of the single fiber of the synthetic resin to be subjected to the vacuum vapor deposition is preferably 20-80%. The bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects by the silver ions are lower if the ratio is lower than 20%. Conversely, the exposed area of the synthetic resin decreases and the formation of the hair root part by welding is difficult if the ratio is higher than 80%. The end part is wound and the intersected point with the hair trunk part is welded by high-frequency spot welding to form the alpha-shaped hair root part, by which the stability of planted hair is increased. |
