发明名称 SEALRING IN FLOATING SEAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide durability of a floating seal for a travelling section of construction equipment by allowing the thickness of high hardness coating on the inner peripheral tapered surface to form the whole desired engaging surface of high hardness material. CONSTITUTION:A seal ring 1 comprises flat surfaces 3 provided in the outer peripheral side of opposed inside surface with recesses, and tapered surfaces 5 at the inner peripheral side, and a portion of the flat surfaces 3 provides seal portions bearing against each other. This tapered surface 5 is formed with WC system high hardness coating 40' by plasma metal spray so that the thickness S of the coating 40' permits a desired seal portion t to be formed of high hardness material. This thickness s is obtained from an angle alpha of the tapered surface 5 according to the formula S=tXsin alpha. For example in the normal 100 phi seal ring, since the engaging surface t is 1-2mm. and taper angle is 1-2 deg., the thickness of high hardness coating is 0.09mm.. Thus, the sealing ring with excellent durability can be produced simply and economically.
