PURPOSE: To make conversion from direct current into a microwave highly efficient by adopting a specified method for connections of the inside of a housing of a microwave diode and bringing about higher total inductance in comparison with the inductance of a connecting line to a gate. CONSTITUTION: A housing 20 has an upper adhering area 23 which adjoins the top of an outside circumference and is electrically connected to the 2nd terminal 22 and lower adhering areas 15 to 17 which adjoin a base 21 and are electrically insulated from the 1st terminal 21, the 1st wire 1 extends to the areas 15 to 17, the 2nd wire 2 extends from the areas 15 to 17 to the area 23, and the 3rd wire 3 extends to the area 23. Because both wires 2 and 3 are connected to the terminal 22, a direct current coupling is obtained through an inductive feedback path where the inductance of a connecting line between the 2nd main electrode and the terminal 22 is higher than the one of a connecting line between a control electrode 13 and the terminal 22. This offers high efficiency in conversion from direct current into a microwave. |
