PURPOSE:To secure safety in operation by prohibiting downshift with a normal shift pattern due to a shift position altering means when slippage is judged on the basis of output signal from a slip judging factor sensing means. CONSTITUTION:A shift position setting means 59 sets the shift position on an automatic transmission from the degree of throttle opening given by a throttle opening sensing means 58 and the car speed given by a car speed sensing means 57, and an actuator 61 is driven through a driving means 56 with a shift command signal given by a shift position altering means 60. Thus speed changing takes place. When an output signal from a slip judging factor sensing means 62 generates a judgement by a slip judging means 63 that there is a slip on a wheel in car running condition, a shift prohibit signal is emitted to prohibit downshift in a normal shift pattern made by the shift position altering means 60, and further to avoid increase of the driving force so that the slip will not be doubled. Thus safety in operation is secured without impairing drivability. |
