PURPOSE:To make an accelerator compact and to reduce the cost regarding a monitor by providing winding to a low-frequency cutting-off magnetic body ring of a wall current position monitor and adding the function of a beam current monitor. CONSTITUTION:The internal surface of an insulation vacuum duct 12 interposed between conductive vacuum ducts 1A and 1B is coated with a resistance body 13 by a vapor-depositing means. A pickup probe 14 is connected to the resistance body 13 at one end and to a 1st current terminal 15 fitted to a metallic container 4 at the other end. Then when charged particles pass in the ducts 1A and 1B and duct 12, reverse currents flow in the ducts 1A and 1B accordingly. This current flows in two directions to the resistance body 13 and metallic container 4, but when a charged particle beam passes impulsively, the current flowing to the metallic container 4 decreases as the repetitive period increases because of the effect of a ferrite ring 3, so that the current flows only to the resistance body 13. The potential difference across the resistance body 13 is led out of the current terminal 15 of the probe 14 to measure a high frequency current value.
