<p>This invention relates to compounds of the formula wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from alkyl groups comprising n carbon atoms, wherein n equals 1 - 8 containing at least one lower alkoxy group of 1 - 3 carbon atoms, and X is a protective group. Processes for the preparation of such compounds are also disclosed. The compounds of this invention have antimicrobial activity and have been found to possess activity against certain strains of cancerous cells.</p> |
