PURPOSE:To stabilize discharge operation while eliminating the need for magnetic shield between electrodes by ground-connecting one of the metallic electrodes for discharge in a gas laser oscillator by discharge in a discharge tube. CONSTITUTION:One of metallic electrodes 2 for generating discharge oppositely installed on the outer circumference of a discharge tube 1 is ground-connected through a wiring 16 for grounding, and a voltage reference point is determined. Consequently, the voltage operation of high-frequency high voltage for discharge is inhibited by simple constitution, and discharge working is stabilized, thus remarkably improving reliability. Magnetic shielding between the electrodes is unnecessitated. Even when a box body is ground-connected in place of the electrodes, the same effect can be displayed. |
