This tray is specially intended to be used for the transport of perishable fruit. It was designed in such a way that its bottom and two of its walls are obtained in a single piece in strip form, constituted by a sheet of wood covered on one face with a sheet of paper, thin cardboard of other material, including a plastic material. This piece in strip form, after having formed the bottom and two of the walls of the package, is folded back on itself towards the exterior in order to form a double wall, with sufficient separation to form an insulating chamber. It is provided at its ends with short prolongations which are intended to be glued to the bottom. The separation space between the double walls is determined by the vertical battens of the frames which support the longitudinal sides, formed in the same way as the main body with a sheet of wood of which one face is covered with paper, thin cardboard or any other material in strip form. The assembly is carried out in such a way that the covering is always visible on the external part of the sides, it being possible to print the mark of the product on this covering before shaping the package. <IMAGE>
