PURPOSE:To obtain outline data that is easily evolved by erasing the common contour lines in case plural vector fonts are synthesized for production of characters covering plural lines. CONSTITUTION:When the input character codes show the characters covering plural lines, an address part 10 points out plural addresses of a font memory part and reads out the vector font data 60 and 61. The outlines of these font data are defined by the closed loops and therefore a common line deleting part 13 deletes the undesired parts 62 and 63 when said data are synthesized. Thus the outline data is synthesized by a synthesizing part 14. |
