Circuit arrangement for bus monitoring

A A-bus system is divided into n regions. Each region has a monitoring device (1) with corresponding switching device (2). In the case of the transmission of time-division multiplex signals over the A-bus system, all switching devices are switched to that they bypass their monitoring devices. In the event of short circuit or interruption within the A-bus system, the monitoring device which no longer receives any signal switches off and the corresponding switching device switches over to a parallel B-bus system. The time-division multiplex signals are now carried by the parallel B-bus system and, after the region in which the fault arose, fed back onto the intact A-bus system.
