Connection testing in communication network - has test signals with time channel addresses, if network is of TDM type

The testing is carried out by feeding testing signals to the network input, corresp. to the respective connection. The received signals are compared at a corresp. output of the network with the testing signals, with the latter contg. the addresses of the input and output for the respective connection. If the network is of the TDM type the testing signals contain also the addresses of the time channels for the respective connection input and output. The testing signals, corresp. to the time channel addresses are fed in a time sequence to the network input for reception in a time sequence at its output, corresp. to the local time channel address. USE/ADVANTAGE - For TV transmission communication systems, with advantageous operation even in TDM systems.
