<p>PURPOSE:To maintain its resonance frequencies at a constant regardless of the amount of fuel in a fuel tank so as to prevent vibrations and noises from arising due to resonance, by supporting the fuel tank on the lower face portion of the body of a vehicle via elastic members whose spring constants rise with the fall of the tank. CONSTITUTION:A fuel tank 1 is supported by a belt 2 so as to be installed on the lower face of a rear floor panel 11 located below a back seat 10. Also, upper and lower insulators 3,4 are interposed between the tank 1 and the panel 11, and between the tank and the belt 2, respectively. In the above constitution, tongue-shaped protrusions 1A are horizontally installed in front of and behind the tank 1, respectively. And the tongue-shaped protrusions 1A are connected to the lower face of a front side cross member 11A and the bracket 11C of a rear side cross member 11B by respective absorbers 5 as elastic members whose spring constants rise with the fall of the tank 1. Its response frequencies are thereby maintained at a constant regardless of the amount of fuel in the tank 1.</p> |
