<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility of damage near a gas filler hole, have the sufficient strength and enable the increasing of the gas pressure by installing a hanging belt at an air bag main frame and hoistwise mounting its ends fitting in recessed parts of retainers. CONSTITUTION:A hanging belt 23 is installed at an air bag main frame 19, and its ends are hoistwise mounted, fitting in a recessed part of retainers 31 so that a load to be applied to the hanging belt 23 is applied to a base plate 13 from the retainers 31 without transmitting of the load to near the gas filler hole 21 of the air bag main frame 19. Thereby, an air bag device 11 having the sufficient strength can be obtained without the possibility of damage near the gas filler hole 21. The ends of the hanging belt 23 are hoistwise mounted in the recessed parts of the retainers 31, and the retainers 31 can install the periphery of the gas filler hole 21 of the air bag main frame 19 in a close space. Thereby, the sealing performance of the periphery of the gas filler hole 21 is improved and the gas pressure supplied from a gas generator 17 can be increased.</p> |
