PURPOSE:To use data efficiently, by coping data of the private area of the first operating system to a shared area by the first operating system to make it possible that the second operating system uses this data. CONSTITUTION:A disk volume 3 consists of an OS(A) private area, an OS(B) private area, and the shared area which operating systems OS(A) and OS(B) can access. An interchangeable controlling part 4 secures the space for the shared area and the OS(B) private area on the disk volume of the OS(B) by the OS(A), and the processing for making the space of the OS(B) private area into a disk volume for the OS(B) is performed by the OS(B), and this space is disconnected from the control of the OS(A) disk volume. Therefore, the OS(A) and the OS(B) are started alternately to execute file processings such as setting and change of labels and directories by which respective OSs can refer to data in the volume. |
