PURPOSE:To easily impart a recording image excellent in various fastenesses to a material to be transferred by forming a thermal transfer sheet from a base sheet and the dye support layer formed to one surface of said base sheet and constituting the dye included in said dye support layer of two kinds of specific compounds. CONSTITUTION:As the dyes included in a dye support layer, a compound represented by formula I and a compound represented by formula II are used. In both formulae, R1 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a substitutent, which may have substitutent, such as an alkyl group, an aryl group, a cycloalkyl group, an arylalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an acylamino group, an aminocarbonyl group or the like, n is 1 or 2, R2 and R3 are an alkyl group or a substituted alkyl group and may form a ring and X is a hydrogen atom or one or more substitutent. The thermal transfer sheet having this dye supporting layer is superposed on a material to be transferred having dye acceptability and heated imagewise to transfer the dyes to the material to be transferred. |
