PURPOSE:To obtain the silver halide photographic sensitive material with which the generation of pinholes is obviated and which has good quality of blanked characters and repetitive characteristic for plate making by incorporating >=1 kinds of composite metal oxides constituted of rear earth metal oxides and the metal oxides thereof into a layer contg. a compd. having absorption max. at 50nm long wavelength. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material has the layer contg. a hydrazine compd. or tetrazolium compd., silver halide particles, and the compd. having the absorption max. at the wavelength at least longer by 50nm than the photosensitive max. wavelength of the silver halide particles. At least one of the composite metal oxides of >=1 kinds constituted of the rare earth metal oxides and the metal oxides thereof are incorporated into the layer contg. the compd. having the absorption max. at 50nm long wavelength. The generation of pinholes is suppressed as the photographic characteristic in this way and the silver halide photographic sensitive material having the good quality of the blanked characters is obtd. |
