REPLACING METHOD FOR OVERHEAD GROUND WIRE

PURPOSE:To facilitate replacing work of composite optical fiber overhead ground wire without inducing voltage in the hanging hook by employing a Kepler rope having conductive outer surface when an existing overhead ground wire is re-stretched by means of the Kepler rope and the suspension metal. CONSTITUTION:The core 5 of a Kepler rope is composed of polyethylene and a Kepler and a polyethylene tape are wound thereon respectively as a core member 6 and an intermediate layer material, and a polyester span is stranded thereon as the outermost layer 8. The polyester span is impregnated with special resin in oder to improve the abrasion resistance and weather resistance. Conductivity is provided by applying conductive paint mixed with metal powder such as silver or zinc powder onto the polyester span in the outermost layer of the Kepler rope and stranding metallic wires such as thin Cu wires or Al wires.
