PURPOSE:To prevent spread at jointed parts and to improve appearance by setting a fabric at a specified position of a mold, covering the fabric with a press jig while its outer and is left, pressing at least the surround of the jig, coating a molding face with a skin molding material and molding a synthetic resin base. CONSTITUTION:A fabric 2 is set on a fabric setting part 8 of a mold 5 in a molding apparatus 7 in such a way that the apex side of its outer peripherical end 2a projects above a projection 9 of the mold 5. A press jig 6 is lowered and the fabric 2 is pinched and pressed between a projecting curved face 8a of the mold 5 and a recessed curved face 12a of a press mold 12. The fabric is covered with the press jig 6 while its outer peripherical end 2a is left and the whole part of th fabric 2 covered with the press jig 6 is compressed. Then, a molding face 4 of the mold 5 is spray-coated with a polyurethane stock soln. 13 as a skin molding material by means of a coating machine 14 and the polyurethane stock soln. is reacted and cured at a mold temp. heated by a heating oil circulating a temp. controlling pipe 10 to form a synthetic resin base 3 of a specified thickness. A skin material 1 wherein the fabric 2 and the synthetic resin base 3 are monolithically jointed can be obtained. |
