A machine (1), for forming the surface of a polytetrafluorethylene- coated ornamental chain into a rectangular, square, circular or elliptic cross sectional shape, includes a guide roller (2) cooperating with a forming tool (3), and a spring-loaded roller (4') mounted on a support frame (4). The forming tool is formed into a rectangular, square, circular or elliptic shape. The coated chain suspended on both the guide roller and the spring-loaded roller is continuously worked with the twisted angle of 90 deg. or 180 deg.
