The controller generating data strobe signal utilizing a control signal for the DPC interface for data transmission between line printer and a main computer includes an AND gate (H) and a gate (3-1) for generating a pulse with 20 μs width for selfprocessing the transmitting data to the external line printer before a D-flip-flop (1) is set, a host computer for transmitting the data to the line printer by the checking the output state of a D flip-flop, and a connector (J1) passing the data by converting the state of a signal line (LP-DEMD+) to "low" state.
