Container or vessel consisting of a body and end walls butt welded together, with an interior coating in the form of a dense film lying against the inside of the body and which is folded outwards round at least one end edge of the body and incorporated into the welded seam between the end wall and the body. In one claimed embodiment, the lining film is folded over at both ends and incorporated into both the top and bottom welded seams, while in another embodiment the lining is in the form of a bag hanging inside the container with the top edge only incorporated into the top welded seam.
