<p>Disclosed is a magnetic recording medium which comprises a support, a magnetic recording layer and optionally a back-coating layer, at least of said magnetic recording layer and said back-coating layer containing a urethane resin having a yield point. The tape performances of the magnetic recording medium according to the present invention can be markedly improved by incorporating the urethane resin having a yield point.</p>
