The dielectric is an oxide mixture with the following cpds and ranges, in wt%, : SrTi03 22.7-47.0, CaTi03 12.3-22.0, PbTi03 26.8-42.0, Bi203 4.2-25.8, Ti02 2.0-10.2, Cu0 0.05-0.5, Mn02 0.05-0.4, as well as at least one oxide chosen from the group consisting of Sn02, 0.4-2.2 wt%, and oxides of Rare Earth elements, 0.02-0.4 wt%. The ratio of (Sr,Ca,Pb,Bi) to (Ti and Sn) is 0.96-0.99. USE/ADVANTAGE - The mixture extends the range of useful dielectrics which combine high dielectric constant (DC), ie 1200-2000, with low dielectric loss, ie tan(delta) at 1 MHz not more than 2.5%, a temp coefft of the DC of not more than +/- 5% in the temp range -25/+85 deg C, aninsulation resistance of not less than 10 power 11 ohm.cm and a breakdown voltage of not less than 12 KV/mm.
