<p>PURPOSE:To prevent caking of cake forced into gap grooves among filter elements by providing filtrate holes to filter elements in the axial direction of the filtration apparatus and forming cake-receiving holes to transporting filter elements at positions shifted from filtrate holes toward external periphery. CONSTITUTION:When a liquid suspension is forced from a feeding port 12 and filter elements 2 are rotated, the liquid suspension is led to between the filter elements 2, and suspended fine particles accumulate in layers on the external periphery of the filter elements 2. Thus, the liquid suspension is filtered and the filtrate is discharged through filtrate holes 23 from a filtrate chamber 11 and a liquid discharge port 14. The cake having intruded gap grooves among each filter element pieces 20 is compressed by the intrusion of transporting filter elements 21 of adjacent filter elements 2 into the gap grooves 5, so the compressed cake enters cake receiving holes 26 in the transporting filter elements 21. The cake in the cake-receiving holes 26 expands by a reduced pressure when the filter element 21 gets out of the gap groove 5, and scraped off simultaneously by the cake on the external peripheral surface of the filter element 2.</p> |
