PURPOSE:To produce human EGF in high efficiency by making a culture of Bacillus brevis holding the DNA with human epithelial cell growth factor (EGF) linked to the 3'-end of promoter region-contg. DNA. CONSTITUTION:Bacillus brevis holding the DNA with DNA coding human EGF linked to the 3'-end of promoter region-contg. DNA is put to culture in a culture medium to produce and accumulate human EGF in the resulting cultured product. Thence, this human EGF accumulated is collected, thus producing the objective human EGF. Said human EGF may be accumulated either in or out of Bacillus brevis; however, in order to make the extraction and purification of human EGF easy and enhance its production, the latter case is preferable. |
