PURPOSE:To lessen noise due to combustion as well as to reduce cost in the manufacture of an engine by letting a part of fuel in a plunger chamber be discharged back to a combustion chamber from a squeezing passage groove for dynamic injection timing adjustment by way of an inlet port. CONSTITUTION:A valve surface 4 for adjusting the quantity of fuel injection of a plunger 2 is formed with a squeezing passage groove 7 for dynamic injection timing adjustment. The squeezing passage groove 7 is communicated with a plunger chamber 13 through a communication passage 6. A part of fuel in the plunger chamber 13 is discharged back to a fuel chamber 14 from the squeezing passage groove 7 via an inlet port 9 at the early stage of the effective discharging stroke of the plunger 2. This constitution thereby allows noise due to combustion to be lessened, and also allows cost required to manufacture an engine to be reduced. |
