METHOD FOR INCREASING MAMMARY PARENCHYMA

A method for stimulating the growth of memmary parenchyma is presented. Thus, human EGF dissolved in Freund's incomplete adjuvant is injected into breasts of 12 cross-bred beef cow. The dry weight of each breast is measured after drying at 60 ≦̸C overnight and the DNA content of each breast is measured by Burton's method. Dry weight and DNA content of the sample are increased by 8.6g and 84.5 g. compared to its control. On the other hand, wet weight and dried defatted weight of the sample are increased by 32.6g and 4.9g compared to its control, respectively.
