PURPOSE:To stably record without fog or blocking phenomenon even in a high speed recording by incorporating chitin or its derivative in at least one of layers for forming a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Chitin or its derivative is contained in at least one of layers for forming a recording medium. The chitin or its derivative is contained in at least one of various layers such as a heat sensitive recording layer, a support layer, and further a protective layer, an intermediate layer, a support rear face layer, etc., provided as required for basically forming the medium, and it is particularly effective to contain them in the rear face layer of the support. Specially, when a film or a synthetic sheet is used as the support, it is desired to contain the chitin derivative in the rear face layer of the support. The using quantity of the derivative is suitably adjusted in response to the type of the support, the content of the recording layer, and further circumstances such as layer to be contained, and not particularly limited. Generally, it is approx. 0.1-5g/m<2> and more preferably 0.2-2g/m<2>. |
