<p>PURPOSE:To attain information transmission even if an error ratio of the transmission line is tentatively deteriorated by selecting the error correction capability adaptively in response to the state of the transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal and an audio signal coded by coding circuits 34, 36 are written in a time base conversion memory 38. An addition circuit 40 gives a synchronous signal for the transmission and an ID signal to a synthesis information signal outputted from the time base conversion memory 38 at every prescribed information quantity. Error correction coding circuits 42, 44 form an error correction code with different error correction capabilities and either of them is functioned effectively under the command of a mode selection circuit 46. The mode selection circuit 46 selects the error correction coding circuits 42, 44 and also gives a command to the time base conversion memory 38 to adjust the quantity of information of the synthesized information output. The output of the error correction coding circuits 42, 44 is modulated by a modulation circuit 48 and the result is sent to the transmission line from an output terminal 50.</p> |
